I will capture  every detail  of your wedding taking natural and beautiful photographs, I will then apply  vintage effects, the result is a personal story  you will cherish for the rest of your lives! I enjoy building relationships between myself and the couples and I understand how important my role is on your wedding day, It is a honour for me to capture your special memories!  

Where is Helen Russell based?

I am based in North East willing to cover the whole of the UK and the world!
100 miles is included in my packages. If you need me to travel further I just ask you cover my travel expenses and accommodation. I do have places to stay around the country so this is not always necessary.

How long do you stay at my wedding?
I will arrive about 1.5 hours before your service.

Covering bridal preparation and details until you sit down for your wedding breakfast.
I also offer evening coverage until dancing at an additional fee.

How many Photographs do you take?
Over 1000 then I save you the hard job of selecting the best ones, I will then apply my pretty postproduction ready for you to view. We will give you a minimum of 400 to choose from for your album.

to £2000 depending on your album choice

What is your style?

Tradional Group Shots?
Yes it is important to photograph to document your friends and family at your wedding as this is your history however I do advise keeping them to a minimum to leave room for me to capture creative shots for you.

Do you shoot alone?
Yes you are booking Helen Russell a full price photographer rather than 2 halfprice photographers sharing the work. I get in the zone, work very hard and capture everything. Please ask to see a full wedding I have shot and you will see what I mean.
However I do have the option of a second photographer if you really would like one.

Do you offer extra products?
You can also purchase License free disks, frames, parent albums and more luxury products.

I would like an album?
We have a selection of luxury albums to choose from which I can show you when we meet. You can use the online gallery to proof your images and select them for your album.

I would like to print from a disk of images?
No problem I offer hi-res printable disks with my packages.

When do I view my images?
Post production and editing takes around 4 weeks after your wedding depending on the time of year.

Can my Friends and Family View my Photographs?
We will provide you with Web gallery to display your photos to
friends and family where they can purchase extra photographs.

I do not live near you how can we chat?
Telephone, Skype, Facetime.

What Equipment do you use?
5D Mark 11 a selection of L series zooms and primes to shoot your wedding in the lowest of light and have every angle covers.

A Photographer based in the North East with 5 years experience in the industry, who has photographed hundreds of kiddies and over 100 weddings with 60 weddings alone in 2012.

Do you have Insurance?
Of course!!!! Public liability and Indemnity.

What if I become ill and I cant make your wedding?
I really hope this will never happen however I am friends with lot of well established wedding photographers who will gladly come to my rescue.

How do I book you as my Wedding Photographer?
It is only £200 to secure your wedding

date, the rest payable one month prior to
your wedding. We also fill contracts in for peace of mind for both of us.
I am now limiting my weddings to only 30 per year and spaces are filling up fast for 2013 and 2014. It is always advisable to book your photographer soon after booking your venue.

Do you require a meal at the Wedding?
If you hire me for the full day it would be lovely if you could supply me with a snack and COFFEE. I do not need to sit with the guests as I use that time to back up your images and take a break.

What is an engagement shoot?
A chance for us to get to know each other better, for you to become comfortable in front of the camera, to create some lovely portraits of you both in a location special to you. I also turn the images into a personal guest book for people to sign.

What is a Cherish the Dress Fashion Shoot?
A fantastic excuse to wear your dress again!
You will have your hair and make-up created by a professional makeup. I will then create some cool fashion inspired shots in the derelict back lanes around her studio or we can even visit a location such as the beach for the ultimate wow factor! (Hair, Make-up and location sessions may require a small fee) Please enjoy spending time viewing our gallery to see examples of my work.
